Privacy Policy

For the gmail-multi-account application.

What this application is

gmail-multi-account is a command-line tool that runs locally on the operator's own computer. It uses the Gmail API to read, search and draft email in Gmail accounts that the operator personally owns and has explicitly authorised. It is not a hosted service, and it is not offered to the public as a service.

What data it accesses

When authorised, and only for the specific Google account that granted the authorisation, the application can access that account's Gmail data through the Gmail API: message and thread content, headers, labels and drafts.

Where that data goes

Nowhere. All processing happens on the operator's local machine, in memory or in local files under the operator's control. Specifically:

• No email content is transmitted to any server operated by the developer.
• No server is operated by the developer for this application at all.
• No email content is sold, shared, or disclosed to any third party.
• There is no analytics, telemetry, tracking or logging sent off the machine.
• Email content is not used to train any machine learning model.

Credentials

OAuth tokens issued by Google are stored locally on the operator's machine, encrypted at rest, in a per-account directory. They are never transmitted anywhere except to Google's own OAuth and Gmail API endpoints. Each authorised account has its own separate credential store.

Retention

The developer retains nothing, because the developer receives nothing. Local credentials persist on the operator's machine until deleted or revoked.

Limited Use

This application's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements.

Revoking access

Access can be withdrawn at any time from Google Account connections. Doing so immediately invalidates the stored credentials.
